Sigma USB Dock the future of 3rd part lenses!

Sigma USB Dock | Sigma.
Reflections: The Sigma dock might be the biggest threat so far in regards of 3rd part DSLR lens vendors. Sigma has constantly been challenging the big brands like Nikon, Canon and Pentax for years but have always been thought to be a 2nd class lens brand. However the last five or so years Sigma has been working quite hard to become a player in the DSLR lens division 1.

The new approach to give the buyers/owners of the lens the power of tweak there lens to perform at there maximum at a given configuration and photography situation might be a winner and I must say that as a gadget freak I fin the Sigma USB dock irresistible!

Sigma says: “The Sigma USB dock works in conjunction with Sigma Optimization Pro software in order to connect a photographers lens to their personal computer to update firmware and other parameters such as focus, and for the Sports category: Auto-focus speeds, focus limiters, and optical stabilization functionality.
