A short video showing my new project in action, a early prototype state. The DIY writeup has started and will continuously being updated during this summer (2015). The machine might not look “Super fast” for some. But keep in mind that the delays are adjustable and the speed can be pushed quite a lot if you don’t use AF. The speed also depends of the camera speed, buffer and memory card speed.
The initial stages of programing the relay sequence controller have been successful and the software have become almost usable :-) Below you can see the parts involved in this project parts that are cheap and easy to find (Ebay) and this is all you need part from the 2nd hand slide projector.
The actual control software is written in Python this is actually my first ever programing attempt so the software might feel a bit old and unpolished. In case anyone with skills in Python 3 coding is reading this and would like to help, just send an e-mail stockholmviews [at] gmail .
Update will also be at Twitter
The USB 4 chanel relay (about 5 USD)
Camera shutter release cord (about 3 USD)
Software free of charge from stockholmviews.com
This is a teaser for my upcoming D.I.Y project.
A project that I intend to make possible for anyone with moderate D.I.Y skills to be able to copy. I will make an easy to follow recipe with some options for different levels of skills.
I will use a very common and cheap slide projector the famous Leica Pradovit P150 :-)
The donator a Leica Pradovit RA 150 will be the base for this project. The one I got didn’t even come with a cover!
Link to the full project will be available in the main menu at stockholmviews.com when I posted the first steps of this fun and exiting project.
