camera vith viefinder mounted
Viewfinder mounted on camera, I used an 1/4" socket holder for the
construction of the accessory holder (because I had one :0) )

diy 6x17 viewfinder
On suggestion from forums and other camera builders, I used an video
camera wide angle adapter lens to construct a viewfinder for my
  6x17 camera.

I masked it to match the ground glass view as close
as possible  It works and give me an idea of the picture framing but are
  not 100% correct.

Latch to hold the lid and pressure plate
This image shows how I solved the closure of the back/pressure plate
Piano wire is bent  like an zzz several times inside the aluminum tubing
to ac hive spring loading on the camera back lid to keep it light tight.

&x17 camera back
The back and pressure plate are constructed by a sandwich of two
aluminum plates with foam plastic in between to apply a light pressure
on the film to keep it flat.

I also made a small hole in the back to allow me to read the film square
numbering to help me align the film when it is advanced for next picture.

The hole are covered with red transparent plastic to filter the entering
light a bit and it also have a door to be closed afterwards to securely
  keep the light out.
