Someone asked about a resolution/interpolate test, here is a short one and a download for

I made the same scan in 6 different resolutions from 1200 to 4800
the all except for the 4800 scan was then up scaled/interpolated in PS (Bicubic mode) to 4800px/in
Unsharp mask was applied to make things clearer, I used the settings A400, R2,1 T0 in PS.

straight from Vuescan, for you to play around with different setting all by yourself :0)
